Cubo Connect: Meet Lucy Penman

Tell us about yourself?

I’m Lucy Penman and I was born in London, spent most of my teens in Chester and currently live in Manchester. My favourite thing to do outside of work is to spend time with my family, activities with my son who is 7 this year and attending the odd music festival. I am passionate about my personal growth, travelling and meeting new people. My favourite way to unwind is listening to music or Pilates – I always have the best sleep after a class.

Something about yourself that most people don’t know?

I am related to Gerry Marsden from my mother’s side, hence being a Liverpool supporter born in London.

Favourite holiday destination?

There are so many to mention but anywhere with a sunny beach! Highlights include Bahamas and Miami but Ibiza sunsets will always have my heart and I’d love to do an African Safari which is on my endless bucket list.

Favourite Movie and TV show?

That’s a hard one! I love the classics. Pretty Woman, Dirty Dancing and my all-time fave is One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. The last series I really enjoyed was Game of Thrones.

Favourite food & drink?

Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand) or a nice cocktail. I am a foodie and will eat almost anything and I really love Seafood and Italian tapas.

Favourite social media platform?

YouTube.

Have you ever met anyone famous?

I watched the sunset at Café Mambo in Ibiza with Michelle Keegan – she was nicest girl you could meet so humble and down to earth. I also met Steven McManaman at Miami Airport.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

To control the weather like Storm from Xmen as living in Manchester it rains a lot.

If you could meet any living person for dinner, who would you pick and why?

Ricky Gervais. I think he’s hilarious and I know he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I love his bluntness and I know he’d make me laugh a lot.

How long have you been at Cubo and what is your role?

This is my 10th year of working for Cubo and I’m the National Account Manager for the UK.
