Tell us about yourself?
I’m Niall Delargy and I’ve recently turned 30. I was born and raised in Portglenone in County Antrim and currently live in Ballymena with my wife Jane, and our much-loved Golden Retriever – Darcy. Most of my time outside of work is taken up by Gaelic Football and I currently play for my local team Roger Casements GAC and I’ve been fortunate to play for the Antrim County team for nine years. I’m also a massive Liverpool fan!
Outside of football, I like to keep active by walking the dog and getting to the gym. I like to unwind in the evenings by putting the feet up with a cup of tea and watching the latest Netflix series or a match on the TV.
Favourite holiday destination?
I’m fortunate to have had the chance to do a good bit of travelling and enjoy seeing the world and different cultures. My favourite city I’ve visited is Vancouver in Canada and my favourite holiday experience was backpacking around Thailand for a month.
Favourite Movie and TV show?
Game of Thrones is my favourite TV show closely followed by The Wire. My favourite film is The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
Favourite food & drink?
It would have to be a steak dinner or else a Sunday Carvery with all the trimmings. My favourite drink is Tea and I enjoy a few pints of beer when the opportunity arises.
Favourite social media platform?
I’d have to say Twitter as it’s really the best place to get instant reactions and opinions to the latest news and current events.
Have you ever met anyone famous?
I once met Roberto Carlos (ex-Brazil footballer) and got my picture taken with him at an exhibition in England.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
Teleportation – imagine how much time you could save!
If you could meet any living person for dinner, who would you pick and why?
I’d love to meet Lionel Messi, probably the best footballer of all time, or else my favourite actor Denzel Washington. Both have had amazing careers and I’m sure there would be lots of great advice.
How long have you been at Cubo and what is your role?
I’ve been at Cubo for one year and my role as a Senior Marketing Executive is wide ranging and every day is different from the next. Some of the main duties involve looking after the Cubo website, creating content, managing the Cubo social media channels, and planning for events/exhibitions.
Favourite thing about working at Cubo?
The best thing about working in Cubo is the people and the craic in the office. It’s also great to be a part of Cubo at an exciting growth period for the company after undergoing a rebrand.
What’s your favourite piece of work advice you’ve ever received?
The best piece of work advice I’ve received is to “Try to learn something new every day”. It’s important to strive for continual improvement, both personally and professionally.
